Needless to say Baby B or Brookie as we like to call her is a doll. She makes each day so much fun. She is talking up a storm, giggling, screaming, rolling over, loves to stand and loves bath time as well. We definitely have an outdoor baby, she usually gets taken out rain or shine for a walk or run. She loves being in her Boba carrier or in her stroller. She also enjoys Baby Einstein movies. About a week ago we started oatmeal cereal and she is hilarious. First she looks so grown up in her high chair and she is not so sure about the plastic bibs. It took some getting used too, but now she shovels it in and if we slow down or stop that usually results in crying for more. haha!! The cereal has helped the sleeping as well, she usually sleeps for about 7-8 hours before waking to eat, then goes back to sleep for 3-4 more hours. I can't complain. She is teething as well, lots and lots of drool, but no teeth have popped thru yet.
Her favorite toys include her playmat, exersaucer and she likes Sofie the Giraffe teether. She is much better about her carseat and actually seems to love cruising in the car now. She is just a joy to be around, very even keeled, and happy. She also thinks it is hilarious to be upside down!!! At her 4 month appointment she weighed in at 18lbs and was 27 inches long, this puts her over the 97% for her height and weight. Her leg rolls are hilarious and she has a muffin top. We are still breast feeding, which I really enjoy even though sometimes I get tired of pumping, etc when I am away from her. I am so blessed with milk that I actually have more than we can use. I added it up the other day and have just about 5 gallons of frozen milk. I am hoping to donate that to a local milk bank for other babies to use sooner than later.
We are still doing cloth diapers as well, everyone in the household seems happy with them. They make her clothes a little tighter and with her being so long we are already in 6-12, 9-12 or 9 month clothes. The 6 month items don't seem to be cutting it anymore. :)
For Thanksgiving we went up to the firehouse to spend the day with Josh. It was lovely and nice to see my old firehouse family. My parents, Meredith and her boys also came along, so it was fun checking out the fire engines and having an amazing dinner put on by the Ritz Carlton.
For Christmas I was working but Josh had the day off, so Brooklyn and him headed out to my sisters for a nice day. She of course got quite spoiled by everyone. And she enjoyed her new outfit from Liberty Wyatt!! :)
I went back full time to work full time at the end of November, which was difficult, but we were lucky enough that Josh could take time off to bond with B until January 1st. So the big decision came about what do to with daycare, working, etc after that point. We finally decided that I would go part time at my current job. And it just so happens a friend looking out for me (thanks Tracey) heard about a local fire dept hiring part time dispatchers as well. So as of Jan 13th I went part time with Jefferson County and also started part time with Evergreen Fire. I am thoroughly enjoying both jobs and I LOVE that my girl doesn't have to go to daycare. Either Josh or my Mom usually take care of her!!
The new year has brought us many blessings and we are very thankful. I will try to be much better about updating more frequently. Going back to work really put a wrench in that plan. :)
AND NOW for many photos!! :)
