Well after a month or so at looking at cribs, we finally decided to build our own.  Quite the feat, yes, but an heirloom we hope to pass down to our kids some day.  We decided we really liked the Oeuf Cribs, but also didn't want to spend a grand just on a crib.  So my incredible husband put in hours and hours of research and even found some other folks that had made a crib using this design.  So he made photos, drew out measurements and off we went buying tools and lumber.....and we have almost finish the creation.  Most people I think, "think that we are crazy," but we have enjoyed the bonding time except for the hand cramping from sanding so much.  Check out the photos, I will post a completeted one once we have painted and put the final touches on the crib which should be in a week or so.  A labor of LOVE.
